Our railings constitute three basic components; the Post, Infill, and the top cap. When selecting what type of railings to install, it is important to consider what component will complement your surrounding materials and its style. If you are unable to decide, ResCom Railing’s team of experienced professionals can help you determine the best material after evaluating your needs and surroundings.

Our services aren’t just limited to shops, malls, and apartments, we can easily install railings in baseball stadiums, concert halls, theaters, playhouses, and many other places! We can supply and install all the different styles and designs of commercial railings.

Choosing your Perfect Railing

1. Post Selection

The first thing you will want to decide on is the post material. The posts can come in a variety of materials ranging from Cedar or Hardwood to Aluminum, Stainless Steel or Composite. We even have a postless option for one of our glass railings.

2. Mounting Options

The post is what will be secured to the deck, stairs or ground and there are several options on how the posts can be attached. Depending on what you prefer the post can be secured to the top of the deck or stairs with a surface mount, or to the side of the deck or stairs with either a flush mount or Fascia mount. Mounting style is mainly based on aesthetic preference, but you do get a little added space with a surface or facisa mount compare to a surface mount because the post is moved to the outside of the structure that you are mounting the railing on. It’s about a 4in difference depending on post type which can add up over a whole project.

3. Infill Selection

The next component that will need to be decided on is the infill. This is the middle section that connects the posts. There are a variety of materials that you can choose from, but the most common infill styles consist of Picket, Glass, and Cable. Depending on your choice of post the infill may vary with some customizations available.

4. Top Cap Selection

The final component that you will need to figure out is the Top Cap. The Top Cap is the piece that runs along the top of the railing. Some railing infills come with a Top Rail and don’t require an additional Top Cap. The Top Cap can be a variety of materials including composite decking to match your deck, cedar, hardwood, and aluminum and steel on those types of railings.
